The 5 Hole: Dramatics on Broad Street

The New York Islanders had a lot to be thankful yesterday on Thanksgiving. They had won five of their last six, and heading into their late afternoon matinee with Philadelphia today, everything seemed to be clicking. Doug Weight and Co. knew that to continue their strong play, beginning to find consistency on the road — 5-7-0 — was one of the keys. Playing in Philly is always hostile environment, and after these two teams met not even 48 hours ago, it was evident that they’re would still be some lingering effects.
In the second of a home and home, the Isles pulled off a dramatic pvertime win 5-4 after being down 4-2 to start the 3rd. The win was their six in the last seven games, and 11th in their last 16th. New York is right back at it tomorrow night in Ottawa. Top hits from tonight can be found below after a come from behind victory:
