The Islanders were finally back home after a grueling seven game road trip. A 6-1-0 record ending with a dramatic 6-4 win Sunday at the Garden lead up to another pivotal game earlier this evening. In their way, an old foe in Sidney Crosby and the Pittsburgh Penguins. This was the first Penguins visit to Barclays Center, after only meeting the Isles once this season where they throttled them 5-2 back on January 2nd. Well, New York returned the favor, only this time in playoff-esk style. A 2-1 victory gave the Isles their fourth straight win, and seventh win in their past eight games. The team will look to keep there strong play going tomorrow night in Toronto. But until then, enjoy the win and check out the best hits from social media.

Are Jaro Halak’s pads made out of Barclays end boards? Talk about lively… #isles
— Tom Liodice (@TomLiodice) March 9, 2016
Idk what Pierre loves more, the bouncy boards at Barclays or the #isles 4th line. That's all he's talking about.
