After a long four day layoff, it was back to business for the Islanders. The business at hand earlier tonight was a familiar one, the Washington Capitals. The Caps sit ahead of the Isles in the Metro division, and tonight was the first time these teams met since their exciting seven game series in the playoffs last season. Well just like that heartbreaking game seven loss, the Isles felt that same feeling once the buzzer sounded. A 4-1 final left the team searching for answers as they head into Philadelphia this weekend. The loss was only the second regulation loss to a division opponent by the Islanders this year. Below is the best hits via social media during tonight’s affair.
