The Islanders (19-17-8) face off against the Flyers (22-19-6) in a 6pm matchup Sunday night. Flyers are coming off their mandatory bye week and the Islanders played last night. Clutterbuck and Boychuk back in the lineup. Leddy opened up the scoring by sniping a wrister that popped out of a scramble in front putting the Islanders up 1-0 at 13:25 of the first period. 4:47 into the second period, a Seidenberg slapper is stopped in front and Quine is free to poke at it thanks to the weak net front defense displayed by the Flyers on the play and Quine puts the Isles up by 2. Greiss continues to play well coming up with huge saves during long defensive zone collapses. Then 14:10 into the second, after the Isles can’t get out of the zone, Simmonds makes them pay by putting a wrist shot passed Greiss and cutting the lead to 2-1. 1:47 into the third, Provorov is unseen coming off the bench then centers the puck off of Pelech’s skating and that tied the game at 2. Feels a lot like last night again here. Tough penalty to call against Clutterbuck for tripping but none the less it’s killed off and we’re heading to overtime. An always exciting 3-3 overtime ends with Tavares not able to get the puck out of the zone and Gostisbehere tucks a wrap around to win it for the Flyers. 3-2 final. Isles pick up a point.

I don't know if my #Flyers followers can help, but can someone explain to me how Andrew MacDonald is a number one defensemen?

I've noticed that the #Isles are blowing their third period leads much earlier under Doug Weight than they did under Jack Capuano.

The islanders are so frustrating to watch.

Ryan Strome hasn't seen the ice since he decided not to shoot, you know what that is: ACCOUNTABILITY #Isles

The Islanders deserved no points from this game. Greiss got them at least one.
