You can’t win them all. The Islanders 10 game point streak was snapped earlier tonight when they were thumped by the Florida Panthers 5-1. Tonight’s loss was their first regulation loss since November 22. Their record against the Panthers this season now is 0-1-1, and with tonight’s defeat they have lost four straight going back to last season. A two game trip out West awaits the Isles, as they will head to Colorado Thursday and then to the desert on Saturday. Here’s the top social media hits from this evening.
You couldn’t have asked for a better start to the game.
The #Isles r pouring it on in the beginning shots 7-0? #FLAvsNYI

That’s extremely impressive.
22 penalty kills in a row now for #isles spanning 10 games.

If you can answer this, you deserve a medal.
23 straight kills for the #Isles. I can't remember a time when their PK was this good. Anyone?

It blows because it ended up being that way =(
Oh, so it’s going to be one of those nights, huh, Roberto. #Isles

Good choice of words, but their’s definitely a better word to use than unreal to describe that stat.
Outshoot them 19-2 and tied 0-0. Unreal #isles

YOU DON’T SAY?
Fairly certain that's not what the game plan was between periods. #isles

Here’s the big question? WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY?
The Panthers have Halak's number. #isles
— Jon Cav (@JonCav) December 16, 2015
So what’s your point Butch?
Butch: And the fans are now back into it.. and now they're not #Isles
— MyIsles (@MyIsles) December 16, 2015
I have the scars and bruises to show for it.
Stan Fischler basically said this could happen, following that dominant first period. Most #Isles fans are socialized to expect it

Ended up being the only celebration of the night.
Cause I'm real …. Ja Rule in the house and dabbing #Isles pic.twitter.com/LHWbqIci1E

I’ll just leave this here for those who disagree.
Wthout Halak and Greiss, #isles are not 18-8-5 coming in. nowhere near.

You almost wish this tweet never had to be seen this season.
Not our night. #Isles

I wish I could do that, hard to do it in attendance if you ask me.
