New York Islanders' Dangerous First Line

Here’s a list of the top 3 this season: Nikita Kucherov, John Tavares, and Josh Bailey. Two of these guys have something in common (three, if we’re talking about my fantasy team), they’re on the New York Islanders first line of death.

The trio of John Tavares, Josh Bailey, and 22 goal scorer (already) Anders Lee have been demolishing goaltenders everywhere all season now, but have been living in the shadows of Nikita Kucherov and Steven Stamkos all season, that must change. These three players deserve a lot more recognition than they’ve been given, especially with the offensive numbers they have been putting up.
With Josh Bailey’s 36 assists (good for second in the NHL) and the goal scoring of Anders Lee (22) and John Tavares (21), this line has been striking fear in opposing goaltenders all season. Also, to have 2 of the top 4 goal scorers in the league (Lee 3, Tavares 4) is hard enough to do, but to have 2 40 point scorers in December is another thing.
The New York Islanders haven’t had an offense that has worked this well since the days of Trottier and Bossy, and if it keeps working like this, we might be seeing another cup in the future.
