The 5 Hole: Out of Gas in Raleigh

After probably their best win of the season last night, the New York Islanders were riding high as they headed in to Carolina this afternoon for the second of a home-and-home with the Hurricanes. New York was looking for the sweep of the back-to-back and looking to make it four in a row for the first time this season, and wins in ten out of their last 14 games. Jaro Halak got the start in goal, while Cal Clutterbuck sat out his second straight game with an illness.
The Isles didn’t have things go their way, as they fell 4-2. They now get a few days off before hosting the surprising Philadelphia Flyers Wednesday night. Top hits from social media can be found below:
