The 5 Hole: Roughed Up By the Wild

Things are always changing in Islanders country from one minute to the next. One minute, the team is riding high on a three-game winning streak, the next, one of the Isles promising rookies gets sent down. That’s exactly what happened yesterday, when stunningly Josh Ho-Sang was demoted to the AHL before the team departed for Minnesota in the afternoon. People are still trying to wrap their heads around the move, but the “show must go on”. And that meant New York coming away victorious tonight in the first game of this mini two-game roadie.
It was a homecoming for Brock Nelson, Anders Lee, and Nick Leddy, as the Isles fell 6-4. Their three game winning streak is over. They’re back at it Saturday night in Nashville. Social media recap below:
