The 5 Hole: Downed by the Ducks

The Islanders struggled on the road early last season, which led to them falling to the back of the pack in the Metro and the East. Starting tonight, they have a chance to right that wrong. The Isles headed out West for the first time tonight as they faced the Anaheim Ducks. New York has won in their last three trips to Honda Center, and have beaten the Ducks four straight going back to 2015-16.
Trying to extend their two-game point streak, the Isles fell to the Ducks 3-2. Brock Nelson got his first two goals of the season, nut it wasn’t enough. New York is back at it Saturday night in San Jose. Top hits from social media can be found below:
