Still alive for the moment, the New York Islanders were in Nashville for the second matchup in a week with the Nashville Predators. These two teams met last Monday with the Isles being dominated by the Preds in a 3-1 defeat. The hope was tonight the Isles can repay the favor.
Jaroslav Halak was in goal for the third straight game as he has won his past two starts, and Anders Lee looked to continue to end the season red-hot.
In another can’t lose game, the Isles came back to win 2-1 in overtime on a Thomas Hickey goal. He keeps the Isles slim playoff hopes alive as they head into Carolina Thursday night. The social media recap can be found here:
