The Islanders (35-26-12) host the Bruins (38-30-6) in a hugeeee game regarding playoff implications. It’s Greiss vs Khudobin in their respective nets. No other than the captain John Tavares opens up the scoring at 10:05 by dancing a few Bruins before sniping one blocker side. 36 seconds later, the Bruins answer tying the game at one. Bruins think they score again by Weight successfully uses his challenge to keep it a 1-1 game. Update: Josh Ho-Sang is ridiculously good. That is all. 5 minutes into the third Reilly Nash gets his second of the night giving the Bruins the one goal lead. Isles struggle after the 1st period going 0-6 on the powerplay and drop a big one to the Bruins. 19-13 Boston for SOG. Isles make their road to the playoffs a lot harder with this loss but it’s not impossible. 2-1 Bruins.
