The Islanders were finally coming to the end of their franchise long nine-game road trip as they took the ice in Vancouver tonight. After a bounce back win on Tuesday, the Isles were looking for another crucial two points to head into St. Louis Saturday night. Whenever New York is in Vancouver, both teams always put on a competitive affair. Tonight was no different.
Looking to get their fifth win on the trip, the Isles again came from behind to win 4-3 in overtime on an Andrew Ladd game-winner. Josh Bailey was a monster with three assists, and Thomas Greiss again came up big. The Isles regained the second wild card position with the win. Here’s the best from social media from late night Isles:
There's a solid 0% chance I make it through the entire game #Isles

Ho-Sang with some flash into zone, drop pass didn't find Tavares though. They may get used to one another someday.
