The 5 Hole: Burning the Midnight Oil

The Islanders knew the challenge facing them as they took on the Edmonton Oilers tonight. Speed was going to be the name of the game, and somehow they were going to have to figure out how to stop Connor McDavid. Coming off one of their worst losses of the season on Sunday, maybe the rest was what New York needed to keep this road trip going in a positive direction.
In a fast pace affair, the Isles were on the winning side 4-1. Josh Ho-Sang scored his first NHL goal and Anders Lee scored his 24th and 25th goal of the season to give New York their first win in Edmonton since 2003. The Isles are now 4-2-1 with two game left on their nine-game trip. The best from social media can be found below:
