The 5 Hole: Big Win in Big D

With the NHL Trade Deadline passing yesterday, it was back to business for a New York Islanders squad who haven’t played since they were thumped in Columbus on Saturday night. The Isles came in to tonight’s game in Dallas just one point out of the final wild card spot in the Eastern Conference and playing the fourth game on their nine-game road trip, and the first of a back-to-back when they play in Chicago tomorrow night. It was also a special night for the controversial Joshua Ho-Sang. He made his NHL debut after so many ups and downs after being drafted 28th overall in the 2014 NHL Draft.
In another must-win situation, the Isles showed their resiliency coming back down from 3-1 to win 5-4 in a high-scoring affair. Nikolay Kulemin got the game winning goal to give the Isles their third win on this road trip. They will look to make it four out of five in the Windy City tomorrow night.
