The 5 Hole: Stinging Defeat in Lumbus

With a 5-0-1 record in their past six, the Islanders looked to extend their point streak to seven games as they headed to the Buckeye State for a showdown with the Columbus Blue Jackets earlier this evening. It was going to be a tough test for the Isles as John Tortarella’s club has been red-hot and one of the best teams in the Eastern Conference. In a spirited affair, the Islanders fell 6-2. Their point streak ended at six games and they suffered their first regulation loss since November 25th in San Jose. Social media recap can be found below:
