The Islanders were looking to bounce back from Tuesday night’s thumping at the hands of the Lightning, in their way was the division rival Philadelphia Flyers. This game was the first of four meetings between the two teams. Missing Anthony Beauvillier and Jaroslav Halak getting the start, the Isles fell 3-2 in the shootout.
