The 5 Hole Playoff Edition: PASSOVER EPIC

For 30 years, game fives and the islanders have been the worst of enemies. They have not won a game five in any playoff series since defeating the Flyers in the 1987 Prince of Wales Division Finals. Tonight was not only a chance for the Isles to reverse history, but to move one step closer to winning their first playoff series in 23 years. After a uninspired effort in game four, the Islanders knew they had to elevate their game to an entire different level. And boy did they ever, winning a double OT thriller 2-1. They now lead the series 3-2 and can close it out Sunday in Brooklyn. Social media recap can be found here.
