The panic button was in the grasp of every Islander fan after Saturday night, but with the tough stretch of 12 of 14 games on the road now over, they might be able to breathe a little easier. The games on the other hand were getting tougher and tougher including earlier tonight against a hot Philadelphia Flyers squad. The Isles were slaughtered the last time these two teams played, and for them tonight was a chance to repay the favor. That wasn’t the case as they ended up losing 4-1. They have now lost six of their last seven games. Recap can be seen below.

The Suv and the #isles will have to win without Howie and me as we have the night off. I am in the building hoping the Flyers are grounded

Tavares has played in 500 games. I feel old. I don't want to know what 1,000 games will feel like. #isles

#Isles lead #Flyers in shots 6-0 four minutes in.

Greiss is going to need a chiropractor after this period. #Isles
— Jeff Capellini (@GreenLanternJet) March 22, 2016
#Isles entered tonight 2nd in the league in PK (85.1%). Finished 26th in the league last year (78%). That improvement makes no sense to me

No Boychuk on the PP actually hurts my brain. #isles
— New York Bootleg (@NewYorkBootleg) March 22, 2016
Greiss has been awesome. Passing on the PP has to be better.

We really need Tavares to start leading us.#isles
— Bill Dietrick (@billydie) March 22, 2016
Not sure what's up with Tavares, but the spark that makes him special hasn't been seen for a few games. #Isles can't win without JT being JT
— John Kreiser (@jkreiser7713) March 22, 2016
These rebounds are why Mason’s not that great a goalie. Gotta make him pay for it at some point. #isles

#Flyers with a 2-1 lead after two. Jack may have to address team before this third period. #Isles

#Isles have now trailed after 40 minutes more than they've led — 30 times trailing (5-19-5), 29 times leading (25-2-2).

@NYIslanders have to figure a way to get #JohnTavares in scoring position. The captain can't seem to get free for a good shot.
