The 5 Hole: Detroit Rocked City

Saturday night, the Isles played one of their worst games all season long in a 6-3 loss, so a bounce back game was in the cards. That was going to be a tough task seeing that the Detroit Red Wings would be in the way. The Wings have had the Isles number this year outscoring them nine to three in both contest. Today, though the Isles returned the favor blowing out the Wings 4-1 in a President’s Day matinee. Getting the victory gives the Isles four wins in their past five, and with the Capitals up next, it could be a great source of momentum. Here’s the best bites via social media from today’s triumph.
Just your usual start to a game.

We’re running out of words to describe how good they are.

Welcome to Brooklyn, Greg.

One good guy makes the others better, that’s hockey Suzyn.

His appealing to the masses.

I’m in the same boat on that one.

Did he now?

What hand-eye coordination.

Gets better each and every time.

Let the beat BROCK!

Classy gesture.

And you know what, I love every minute of it.

Rocket after rocket leads to goal after goal.

Cleaning up the garbage in front.

One of those words doesn’t belong there if you ask me.

Can I get in on this as well?

Awesome.

“Who’s Zid? Zid scored baby!”

I don’t know is it?

That feels like a lifetime ago.

I’m not sure I would YES chant to this my friend.

Stop Brian, your being to Greiss.

I smell a controversy coming.

Your guess is as good as mine.

All season is more like it.

Servicecable? Your joking right?

No caption needed.

Top-notch analysis here. Haha.

Just another thing to love about El Capitan.

I can watch this over, and over, and over again.

My new favorite hashtag.

Yeah you, I’m pointing at you.

Savagery at its highest form.
