The 5 Hole: Flipping the Script on Broadway

The Rangers and Islanders met for the second time this season, and just like the first match-up, the game lived up to the expectations. Both teams have not been playing their best hockey as of late, so anytime a win against your rival can come along, it can change your season. Tonight’s game could be just that for the Isles. They torched King Henrik and the Blueshirts for three goals in a dominant third period, picking up 3-1 victory. The Isles with the win made it their second straight win, plus improved them to 2-0 this season against the Rangers, and 9-3-2 against Metro division opponents overall. The team gets a few days off before getting back at it late Sunday afternoon against Vancouver. Like the Captain said post-game, walk with a strut in your step tomorrow, but before you do check out the top hits from social media during the Isles triumph over the Rangers.
Well, not to be ironic, but the guy played like a machine tonight.

The one thing that is never wrong about this team.

It’s New York, New York, my friend. Ya gotta love it.

One of the many things the kid was on point with tonight.

I’ll take blatantly obvious for $100 Alex.

Remember, you poor your blood when it comes to this rivalry.

Captain doing captain things.

Watch out next time, he might just slide into the passenger side.

#Halak-it-down.

Say hello to the future.

Every time these two teams meet, you die with each and every shift.

You read my mind good sir.

The look when you’re ready for more.

This is either the funniest thing that happened all night, or the saddest.

#ThrowbackThursday featuring the new Isles version of Eric Carins and Rangers version of Theo Fleury.

And you know New Yorkers love pest.

Rocky music plays in the background.

BROCK. STOCK. AND ROLL.

This one’s for the ladies.

I WOULD PAY SO MUCH MONEY TO HEAR PAUL HEYMAN SAY THIS OVER, AND OVER, AND OVER AGAIN.

Getting the Led out!

I CAN’T HEAR YOU!

As terrific a tweet as I’ve ever seen.

Killing it! Killing it!

Take skate to the face, get first point. I’m Adam Pelech (Boomer voice).

Butter? Cream cheese? All of the above?

The Carplad getting opponents heads spinning like he does the at DJ table.

“SATISFACTION! ULTRA SATISFACTION!”

Lovely parting gift for your loss.

No shame….

FEAR THE BEARD! FEAR THE BEARD!
