The 5 Hole: Rocky Mountain Low

After having their 10 game point streak snapped Tuesday night, the Islanders were back in action earlier this evening. Their opposition was the Colorado Avalanche. The teams met back in late November with the Isles getting a 5-2 win. Tonight didn’t have the same favorable result as the first time these two teams met with the Isles falling 2-1. With tonight’s loss, the Islanders have been unable to take the season series from the Avs which last happen in 2010-11. The loss leaves them with losing their last two games heading into Phoenix Saturday. Below is the best social media hits of the night.
