The 5 Hole: Flying One Step At a Time

A tradition that goes back a long time, the Islanders playing the night before Thanksgiving. Last night, they welcomed in the Philadelphia Flyers to Brooklyn for the first time. A win was desperately needed, and they got it by beating the Philly by a score of 3-1. Here’s the best social media hits from last nights win.
Priceless, even though it was only three minutes into the game.

Maybe it was drawn up this way.

That’s the Okposo I know, always somehow sneaking the puck in the back of the twine.

Nick Leddy fighting? I’ll say that again, Nick Leddy fighting?

Imagine center ice as the dinner table, and all the players are the ones being called in to eat.

Good to see the Karate Kid back at an Islander game. Long Island royalty right there.

As any Islander fan knows, this is true anytime they have a lead.

Desperately needed to get some to come back from the ledge.

Bonus:
Fitting that this guy was in the building last night since Philly was in town. ECW! ECW! ECW!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
