After picking up a win Monday against the Coyotes, the Islanders were back in action last night for a date with the Montreal Canadiens. All dressed up in their black and white threads for the second time this season, the Islanders fell by a score of 5-3. The Islanders have yet to win a game on home ice that take place on Friday. A chance to rebound will take place Sunday when the Islanders meet the Habs up at Bell Centre. Here’s the best from social media from last night’s defeat.

Maybe instead of the glass, it could have been Subban’s face.
Have a feeling that glass is gunna break tonight. #HeelTavares

Might be Coach Q, but this had to be the reaction of every Isles fan seeing Jaro and the team not even show up in the first period.
I think he disagrees pic.twitter.com/ahzqAiz1dJ

Brings a tear to the eye. Hopefully, more goals will be in the wings for Hammer.
Travis Hamonic in the headlines this week…then goes out and scores his 1st goal of the season #Isles #islesoMSG

Kind of feel that’s the kind of player you should put in front of Price on a daily basis. Lol.
Tremendous job screening price by @IslesWhiteSUV on the Hamonic goal – bravo. #isles pic.twitter.com/AwF2LImcGT

My reaction to seeing it was only 4 on 4, instead of a power play when Clutterbuck got punched in the face by both Smith-Pelly and Pacioretty.

I guess sucker punching your opponent is how their cleaning up the game. Oh, and their wasn’t a penalty called at all, disgusting.
Oh word PK. pic.twitter.com/aPx0nW1euM

Have to agree with Dave here, Boychuk should be at the point whenever the net is empty.
If you're going into a battle would you leave your big gun you've invested in on the sidelines? I wouldn't. Call me crazy #Isles #SMH

If there’s any indication from tonight what will see on Sunday, we are in for another crazy contest.
And the #Isles vs #Habs again on Sunday back in Montreal…
