For the Islanders, ending this trip out West on a high note was crucial. Last night, they lost a hard fought game to the Kings, tonight ended with a result, as they defeated the Ducks convincingly 4-1. Getting four out of six points heading back home for two big games at home next week is as good as it gets. Here’s the best from social media from tonight’s victory.

If your unfamiliar with Isles fan logic, it’s usually you want them do everything wrong and somehow end up scoring.
As 5 on 3 ends, Khudobin robs Tavares on rebound of Boychuk shot. Both PPs over. Couldn’t do much more there, except score, of course.

The Maven never ceases to amaze.
Gotta admit, one decent byproduct of the Islanders’ move to Brooklyn are Stan Fischler’s “Brooklyn Beat” segments. Thoroughly enjoyable.

Tic. Tac. Toe. And it all started with the DERS, and finished off by the Great Dane.

It’s rare to see a smile from the Captain, but that’s what winning does. Now back to business.

Bonus: Very classy of the Isles and Johnny Boychuk to pay their respects to those who were attacked in Paris earlier today. Stick taps to both.
And ahead of our game tonight, we send our thoughts and prayers to the people of #Paris.
