A Letter From Connor: Goodbye…Well, kind of…

You might have noticed a few changes to Islesblog over the past week or so.
New site layout, random twitter accounts you don’t remember following tweeting out links, and so on. All of these subtle changes are due to my departure from Islesblog after three crazy years of running the show.
I have met some amazingly talented people all while building IslesBlog into what it is today and bringing you guys some of the best #content this side of the East River.
The separation anxiety with my iPhone and a love/hate relation with Twitter were obvi bonuses.
I’ve, sadly, missed out on dates, vacations, nights out with family and friends; all in the name of the Isles and experiencing all their highs and lows.
Now, I’ve been fortunate enough to have the opportunity to take this obsession for this rollercoaster of a team to the next level [which would be what? Like ‘addiction’ level?] and join the people over at www.BarstoolSports.com to continue covering the Isles in what seems to be the most exciting period for this club since the early 80’s.
I’ll still be producing the same Isles tweets, vines, news, and all that jazz, but you can now find it all on barstoolsports.com.
As for IslesBlog, the ship keeps sailing under the guidance of the great Joe Buono (@JBuono611) and Brittany Sider (@applesider), two people who have done far more than I could ever give credit for and both share the same passion for the Islanders as I do.
They’ll remain on twitter @IslesBlog
It wouldn’t be right to not thank all of Islesblog’s current and former staff for their hard work and great times over the years, specifically Ant Tartamella (@TartamellaNYI) who’s been my right hand man since the beginning, and of course, KFC for giving me this opportunity at the Stool.
It’s onwards and upwards. Viva and LGI.
