From Section 329 to EA Sports’ NHL 16, the “YES!” chant is now forever engrained in Islanders lure. What started as a Daniel Bryan inspired chant from the Blue & Orange Army quickly caught on and led to numerous tee shirts, hats and everyone from John Tavares to Jiggs McDonald “Yessing.”
The Isles posted this video on their social media channels on Thursday showing just how far graphics have come since NHL ’94 (which is still a better game).
It’s hard to believe, but as IslesBlog reported back in November season ticket holders were once calling the ticket office on a daily basis demanding the end of the YES! chant.
Hopefully, these same season ticket holders are too old to play video games.
