As of this afternoon, the It Happened At The Coliseum campaign has raised a remarkable$31,190.96 for Make-A-Wish Metro New York. The success is more than we at IslesBlog and statistician Eric Hornick ever imagined, but perhaps we shouldn’t have been surprised.
The connection Islanders fans have with Long Island and the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum is among the deepest in professional sports and we thank you all for showing your support for the Coliseum and the cause. Special thanks to the many media members in print, television and radio that helped promote this charity effort in recent weeks, we are extremely grateful.
Let’s hope there is still a lot more left to Happen At The Coliseum in the weeks to come.
