Islanders Past and Present Come Together for "A Coliseum Conversation" on Wednesday, February 25th at Molloy College

Ever want to ask Clark Gillies what he thinks about Matt Martin? Maybe get Mike Bossy’s thoughts on Ryan Strome? Here’s your chance.
Islanders legends Mike Bossy, Bobby Nystrom, Clark Gillies along with current stars Kyle Okposo, Jaroslav Halak and Ryan Strome will all be in attendance as the Lifestyle Sports & Entertainment group hosts “A Coliseum Conversation” on Wednesday, February 25th at The Madison Theatre, Molloy College at 7pm. Also scheduled to appear is Islanders great Gerry Hartalong with Anders Lee, Matt Martin, Cal Clutterbuck and more as fans get the chance to talk with some of their favorite players from the Dynasty Years and today.
As Islanders Country celebrates and reflects on the Coliseum’s final season, the night provides fans a unique opportunity to create a lasting and memorable experience with Islander greats who called the arena their home. Past and present players will be available to offer fans insight into their successes, careers, thoughts on the Coliseum, the future in Brooklyn and talk about team’s remarkable 2014-15 season.
“You can pay 20 or 30 dollars for 15 seconds and an autograph with some players, but what we’re trying to do is create memories and experiences for fans,” said Jared Gladstone from Lifestyle Sports Group. “Bobby Nystrom might mean the same to a father as Matt Martin could mean to his son, so the ability to get them both in one room with these fans is pretty special.”

This is the first event of this magnitude that Lifestyle Group has held, but they have had experience dealing with NHL talent in the past. They are currently offering the ability to go to a goaltending clinic with New York Ranger netminder Cam Talbot and receive autographs and pictures with him.
As for future plans with the Islanders organization? Jared couldn’t divulge too much information, but look forward to outreach within both the Brooklyn and Long Island communities.
