The 5 Hole: On Halakdown in DC

After securing probably the biggest win of the season last night, the Islanders faced another monster test as they headed to our nation’s capital for a showdown with the Washington Capitals on the second end of a back to back. The Isles were coming in off just their second two-game win streak of the season, and a win in this game would have given them their longest winning streak of the season at three games. They did just that, as Jaroslav Halak stopped 38 shots as the Islanders were victorious 3-0. They will welcome back Frans Nielsen and the Red Wings Sunday. The social media recap can be found below:
