MSG Networks to Air New York Red Bulls First Round Playoff Match at Philadelphia Union on Saturday

MSG Networks today announced that it will telecast the New York Red Bulls’ opening round match of the Audi 2021 MLS Cup Playoffs on the road against the Philadelphia Union on Saturday, November 20th. MSG+ will have pregame coverage starting at 2:00pm ET, with kickoff at Subaru Park scheduled for 2:30pm ET.

Emmy Award-winning play-by-play announcer Steve Cangialosi and game analyst and U.S. soccer legend Shep Messing will be on the call, alongside host and sideline reporter Michelle Gingras.

Seventh-seeded New York and second-seeded Philadelphia will meet in the MLS Cup Playoffs for the second time in the last three years. Both teams previously met in the first round of the Audi 2019 MLS Cup Playoffs, when the Union defeated the Red Bulls in a 4-3 extratime thriller at Subaru Park.

New York was edged out by Philadelphia in the 2021 MLS regular-season series, 1-0-2. The Red Bulls drew both times with the Union, 1-1, at Red Bull Arena, while Philadelphia earned a 1-0 win over New York at Subaru Park.

MSG Networks has been the regional television home of the Red Bulls (previously the MetroStars) since 1996.
