Oleksandr Usyk, as we all know, is coming for Anthony Joshua and the heavyweight titles. “I’m coming for you Anthony.” After the weigh in, Joshua talked about giving a great fight for the fans, that’s the most important thing, he said nothing about winning or conquering Usyk. The interviewer noticed this odd emptiness in AJ and asked if he feels confident he will win the fight? Joshua mumble answered with a weak and hardly convincing “yeah yeah, defi…” But he didn’t finish the sentence and say “definitely.”
Something is strange about Joshua about this fight. “I don’t know what to expect…as long as boxing is winning, we’re all winning…Just a fight, we do our best… there’s no gameplan – just win… my gameplan is pray, visualize and give it my best, that’s it” …
Suddenly I can see another inexplicably awful performance by Joshua like he did vs Ruiz. To set up a very lucrative Usyk rematch. Joshua’s strange interview after the weigh in video below has aroused doubts about AJ tomorrow night and the authenticity of the fight. Usyk’s body language, spirit and confidence are much better, more normal of a hungry, driven challenger. There is an insanity spark in his eyes… you know, “It’s the crazy ones who change the world.”
My prediction for this fight is nothing. Some things are better left unsaid…
