Former Heavyweight Champ Mike Tyson is no longer keeping it a secret who he’s voting for in the 2020 Presidential election.
“I made a lot of money from Trump for my fights in Atlantic City (in the 1980s). I made a lot of money when I had a Republican President,” said the current resident of Las Vegas. “I was going to keep my opinion to myself. I’m voting for Trump. This is my opinion. This is what I like. This is what I believe. If I like Donald Trump and am gonna vote for him, so what? What are you gonna do? Shoot me? Or beat me up? I don’t think so.”
“So I’m voting for him. If I can get 200,000 or more to vote for him, I’m gonna do it. Trump Trump Trump Trump Trump Trump Trump, you get the bump. I like who I like. I’m not registered (democrat or republican) for shit. I know Trump. I like Trump.”
Tyson defended the World Heavyweight Championship four times in multi-million dollar fights at Trump properties in Atlantic City – including knockout wins against Tyrell Biggs in 1987 (7th round), Larry Holmes (4th round) and Michael Spinks (first round) in 1988, and a first round KO of Carl Williams in 1989, which would be Iron Mike’s final defense before losing to Buster Douglas in Tokyo, Japan.
