Heinz Program Brings Ballpark Ketchup To Fans

Ketchup dispenserWhether it’s truly advisable to put ketchup on a hot dog (I say no, spicy brown mustard only), or if it’s a vegetable (thanks President Reagan), for sure the tasty tomato-based condiment is a fan favorite. (This fan, too, despite it not belonging on a frank.)

The Heinz ketchup pump container is ubiquitous at ballparks, something that looks like it won’t be doing fans any good this fall, as it’s looking increasingly likely that most won’t be attending a game in person for the rest of the foreseeable future.

But just like crowd noise piped into the broadcast is supposed to help viewers get some of that gameday crowd experience at home, Heinz is offering fans a chance to win its “Heinz Stadium Ketchup Kit.” Through Friday afternoon, they can sign up at HeinzStadiumKetchup.com for the chance to get their hands on one of 200 HEINZ Stadium Ketchup Kits.

The kid includes one of those dispensers, a coupon for a free package of hot dogs (you can always use the ketchup on the fries instead) and a tray to keep it all together.

“We’re going to miss serving fans in stadiums as much as they’ll miss going to games this year,” said Shelly Hayden, brand manager, HEINZ Ketchup. “HEINZ has always been a familiar sight atop stadium hot dogs, and we’re looking forward to bringing that nostalgic duo to people’s homes this baseball season, just in time for Opening Day.”
