Thursday, Babe Ruth‘s birthday, will mark the launch of a new podcast recounting the Bambino’s marketing clout. “Babe Ruth Master Marketer” will feature people from the Ruth family like Babe’s grandson Tom Stevens who wrote the foreword to the book Babe Ruth – A Superstar’s Legacy, by Jerry Amernic, and Babe’s daughter Julia who passed away last year at age 102.
Also included are executives from the sports memorabilia industry, the licensing firm that handles the Babe Ruth name and estate for sponsorships and promotions, the man who ran the Babe Ruth Museum for 37 years, and others.
