PAC-12 IN THE NCAA TOURNAMENT:
-
Six Pac-12 teams earned a trip to the 2019 NCAA Women’s Volleyball Tournament, marking the 20th-consecutive year at least six league teams have made the “Big Dance.”
-
Five of the six teams are making a return trip to the NCAA tournament. Stanford is one of two teams in the nation to participate in the event all 39 years, including 2019, and owns the NCAA record for most national titles with eight.
-
The Pac-12 has captured 16 out of 38 NCAA titles, including 14 of the last 28.
-
Pac-12 teams have compiled an impressive 472-251 (.653) record in NCAA action. Eliminating the 19 postseason matches between Conference teams since 2001 and the league’s NCAA Tournament record against non-conference opponents, that record becomes 261-104 (.715) over that stretch.
-
Over the last 19 years, Pac-12 teams are 115-19 (.858) in the first round, including a NCAA-record 10-0 in 2015 after a NCAA-record 10 Pac-12 teams earned bids that season.
