Klitschko Vague On Comeback, Leaves Door Open

Klitschko Won With Defeat To Joshua-media-1

Deontay Wilder, the WBC Heavyweuight champ or chump, whatever your perspective is, is acting like he’s interested to box Wladimir Klitschko, the man he once worked for as a sparring partner. Did Wilder really “reach out” to see if the 42 year old former champion Klitschko is indeed returning to ring competition, as has been rumored for weeks?
Here is what Wilder said:
“If he comes back, we’ve already reached out to see if this was real, if he comes back and they’re serious, because of what’s going on in the heavyweight division, why not have a more exciting fight.”
“If it does come about – why not, let’s entertain it, I’m sure a lot of people would love to see that one.”
I asked Klitschko for his thoughts on Wilder’s words and he responded by e-mail last night: ” I think someone is desperate, or got hit too much. Did I say anything about my come back?! Nope, I didn’t.”
Klitschko later added some additional quotes about his speculated comeback to an outlet in Germany called SID “Never say never. My status has not changed so far. There are always rumors and I take them as a compliment.  I’m pleased the community and the sport miss me.”
