United States Figure Skating Embraces Athlete-Driven Marketing with opendorse Partnership

USFSU.S. Figure Skating and opendorse, an athlete marketing platform, today announced a strategic partnership, making U.S. Figure Skating the first Olympic national governing body to help its athletes build their brands and sport on social.

“We are excited to partner with opendorse to amplify the voice of our athletes and share exciting content with our fans,” said Ramsey Baker, Chief Marketing Officer of U.S. Figure Skating. “The opendorse platform is going to allow our organization, corporate partners and athletes to share compelling content with our fans as we head towards Beijing in 2022.”

“U.S. Figure Skating’s partnership with opendorse is great for us athletes because it will provide so much content that we did not have access to before,” said 2018 U.S. champion Bradie Tennell. “I am excited to see my social media engagement and interaction with fans grow as we get this season underway.”

To start, the athlete marketing platform will provide nearly 60 U.S. figure skaters with access to share content from U.S. Figure Skating with the tap of a button. The two-year partnership makes opendorse the first athlete-driven content distribution platform to be used in U.S. Olympic sports.

“At opendorse, our focus is to help athletes and their property partners at every level. As Olympians and governing bodies aim to build their brands and grow their sport, the athletes’ personal social channels are an incredibly powerful distribution outlet,” said TJ Ciro, VP of Business Development at opendorse. “We’re thrilled to help U.S. Figure Skating help their athletes build their brands by putting the incredible content they create on the ice back in their hands.”
