‘Justice League Action’ Brings Many Characters back to TV
Warner Bros Animation has brought some great animated shows to television like Justice League, Batman: The Animated Series, Batman Beyond, The Batman and Young Justice. Yet Warner Bros Animation has made a few flops too like Batman: The Brave and the Bold and recently with Teen Titans Go. A new show is coming this fall called Justice League Action. I have watched the footage that was shown at San Diego Comic Con and here are my thoughts on it.
Here is a basic premise for Justice League Action:
Justice League Action is an upcoming American animated television series based on the DC Comics’ superhero team of the same name. The series is produced by Jim Krieg, Butch Lukic and Alan Burnett where it will debut on Cartoon Network in October 2016. The series will feature the adventures of Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, and rotating members of the Justice League.
I was unsure of this upcoming Justice League reboot when I first heard of it. I had fears of it being another bad rehashing. After watching this video a few more times though I am intrigued. It is very smart to bring Kevin Conroy back to voice Batman and it will be great to once again have Mark Hamill voicing the Joker. The rest of the cast is pretty impressive too. Justice League Action will be a great opportunity to bring these characters and many more back for fans young and old to enjoy together.
By what I have seen so far I am still hesitant to say Justice League Action will be amazing, but it doesn’t look terrible either. I don’t like the episodes will only be 11 minutes long, kind of an odd choice to me.I am also unsure James Woods will be the right person to voice Lex Luthor. Overall this show looks like it could be good and maybe even great. Definitely worth checking out when it premieres this fall. You can follow Justice League Action on Facebook and Instagram.
