Did You Watch The Recent Premiere of Hunter x Hunter on Adult Swim??
How does anyone begin to talk about Hunter x Hunter 2011? What is the story about? “The series revolves around a Gon who begins his journey to become a Hunter so that he can find his father Ging.” If that brief synopsis gives the impression that this show will be another generic shounen series with a Goku like protagonist then, I am happy to inform our readers they are wrong.
Similar to Puella Madoka Magika, Hunter x Hunter is a deconstruction of the shounen genre and constantly challenges the fans of the series to think on deep philosophical themes. Even though the creator Yoshihiro Togashi has returned from hiatus due to his severe back problems, as fan no one cannot predict how long he will be able to draw new chapters before his next hiatus begins. Nevertheless, It is always exciting to share any news relating to Hunter x Hunter 2011.
Viz Media announced awhile ago that Hunter x Hunter 2011 would begin airing on Adult Swim’s Toonami every Saturday starting from April 16, 2016, at 1:00 am EST/PST. It is exciting news for those who knew or did not know this show began airing on TV for the English audience. It is difficult to discuss the series any further because I do plan on writing a series review of the show sometime this year.
I agree with Charlene Ingram, Senior Marketing Manager call for the audience to “immerse themselves in this action-filled anime series and catch a new episode broadcast premiere each week!” because Hunter x Hunter 2011 is an experience worthwhile and I know by the end of its run the folks that do stick with the series will want to be a part of the conversation about the show.
