Check out this Gritty ‘Batman The Killing Joke’ Trailer

 Batman The Killing Joke is being made into an animated film. It is one of the most iconic Batman graphic novels and has been widely popular since its release. The news has been up in the air about this project for a long time. It is based on the graphic novel of the same name which was written by Alan Moore and Brian Bolland in 1988.

Kevin Conroy returns to voice Batman/ Bruce Wayne, Mark Hamill as the Joker, Tara Strong as Barbara Gordon/ Batgirl and Ray Wise as Jim Gordon. Bruce Timm will is going to be an executive producer for this animated film. Fans should be happy to hear this because he has worked in this universe before with Batman : The Animated Series as well as Justice League: Unlimited and Batman Beyond. Batman The Killing Joke is being produced by Warner Bros animation and will be distributed by Warner Bros Home Video.

Batman The Killing Joke recently received an R rating which means they won’t have to hold anything back telling this dark story. This is the first DC Universe original movie to get this rating from the MPAA. . If you want learn more about this movie you can watch a sneak peak right here. I don’t know about you but I cannot wait to see this movie, it sounds like it has everything necessary to become one of the greatest DC animated movies of all time. It has been a long time coming and if you didn’t have a reason to attend SDCC this summer you sure do now.

The world premiere for Batman The Killing Joke is set for the 2016 Comic Con in San Diego in July with a home video release date later in the year.
