William Shatner had a panel at Silicon Valley this past weekend and was glad to answer fans questions and told some hilarious stories about shows and films he has been in
William Shatner is an amazing actor. In his long career he has played everything from Captain Kirk on Star Trek to the Big Giant Head on Third Rock from the Sun and even the possum dad in the animated movie Over the Hedge. Fans may also recognize him best for a famous Twilight Zone episode as well and these are only some of the roles he has played. At Silicon Valley Comic Con he had a panel that gave fans a chance to ask him the hard questions and sometimes the answers made everyone laugh hard. The panel was on Friday night and it was a wonderful start for this new convention.
The panel began with William Shatner coming on stage to loud applause. He sat down and got right into telling fans some information about him and how he was glad to be there. After a while of talking about various things the moment came that fans had been waiting for, the chance to ask Will Shatner some questions. There were two lines and both of them were quite long.
Here is a short clip of a fans questions:
The panel itself was awesome. It did a great job of showing the calmer side of William Shatner and he made sure to do all he could to make the fans laugh. The stories he told were insightful and more than once told things this writer doubts people knew before. There was no question too absurd for him to answer and he was happy to get to see so many of his loyal fans there. It was one that should not have been missed and shows why he is always a man worth meeting at these conventions.
This was truly the perfect way to start this convention off. It was a packed event and sadly not everyone was able to get their questions answered. The good news was William Shatner was at this convention all three days so there were plenty of opportunities to ask him a question and even just chat him up. This was one the better panels this writer has attended and he personally learned a lot from it.
